I am continuing on with my Year of the Stash project too. The only new purchases so far this year have been thread and batting. My project from January is just waiting to have the binding hand sewn down.
I can't spend March just working on unfinished projects though so I have been looking for my stash for some new projects to start. I have quite a few fat quarter and fat eights stacks in my sewing room waiting to be transformed into something. This little stack is Lizzie by Anna Griffin and has been in my stash for 18 months. It's going to be turned into a quilt for a baby girl in the next couple of months.
I also have some end of bolt cuts of home decorator fabrics. We have new sofas arriving this month and the husband has suggested I make "something useful" (like quilts aren't useful?) so these are going to be turned into cushions (pillows if you insist!).
Lovely stash pics!!
ReplyDeleteGood on you for working from your stash! I've been dreadful this year and keep ordering more. I tell myself it will all get used eventually....delusional ;-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan! The Lizzie will make an adorable baby girl quilt :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your plans! Love that bundle of fabrics, I'm sure I'm using some Lizzy in my hexies, not that I knew what it was called!!
ReplyDeleteMake something useful! Too funny - men! I get 'Who's that going to be for this time?' because he figures I never make enough stuff for us and it all gets sent to others.
