This was intended to be a post about my current works in progress. But when I started adding them up and taking photos at the weekend it was all a bit overwhelming!!!
So instead I started a new quilt!
To be honest it was about time I got on with this quilt. It's for my sister's 30th birthday at the end of September so I really need to get a move on.
Fabrics are a selection of Anna Maria Horner Innocent Crush, Joel Dewberry Aviary 2 and some Kona solids which the lovely Mandy at Simply Solids helped me choose.
Linking up with Work in Progress Wednesdays
I'm chuckling 'cos it's nice to know I'm not the only one who does this kind of thing. Starting new projects is always fun and these fabrics will make a fantastic birthday quilt for your sis! Can't wait to see what you'll do with them.
ReplyDeletethis looks gorgeous love these colours so much! x
ReplyDeleteYour tactics are very similar to mine. I always seem to start a new quilt when I've reached what I thought was the limit with my WIPs. Oh no, let's add another to that list shall we, and with a deadline too! Even better! I love the fabrics you've picked - I have a very similar palette waiting for a quilt to appear! So what are you going to make??
ReplyDeleteTeehee I do that too! Hence a large stack of UFOs to complete - my warning to you....
ReplyDeleteBut you do need to get this one done Amanda! But I find deadlines do help finish a project...
LOL I am cracking up! What better way to clear your head than add another project, I totally agree! Those fabrics are beautiful together! Thank you for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHeehee, I did something similar the other night and started on a whole other quilt that doesn't have a *need* to be done ever as it's just for me ;o)
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to think about my wip's, far too many. Great selection of fabrics for the new quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics you're going to use and I can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteAhh quilters ADD at it's finest!! Love those fabrics :)
