A new start

This was intended to be a post about my current works in progress.  But when I started adding them up and taking photos at the weekend it was all a bit overwhelming!!!

So instead I started a new quilt!

To be honest it was about time I got on with this quilt.  It's for my sister's 30th birthday at the end of September so I really need to get a move on.

Fabrics are a selection of Anna Maria Horner Innocent Crush, Joel Dewberry Aviary 2 and some Kona solids which the lovely Mandy at Simply Solids helped me choose.

  1. I'm chuckling 'cos it's nice to know I'm not the only one who does this kind of thing. Starting new projects is always fun and these fabrics will make a fantastic birthday quilt for your sis! Can't wait to see what you'll do with them.

  3. Your tactics are very similar to mine. I always seem to start a new quilt when I've reached what I thought was the limit with my WIPs. Oh no, let's add another to that list shall we, and with a deadline too! Even better! I love the fabrics you've picked - I have a very similar palette waiting for a quilt to appear! So what are you going to make??

  4. Teehee I do that too! Hence a large stack of UFOs to complete - my warning to you....

But you do need to get this one done Amanda! But I find deadlines do help finish a project...
