Tilda Project
Earlier this week I blogged about the new additions to my Tilda stash. Well here is the picture of what all these projects are eventually (!) going to be . . . .
Lots and lots and lots of hexagons joined together in a more modern Grandmother's Flower Garden. They are done by hand using paper piecing. This is how I originally learnt to do patchwork when I was about 12! All the centres will be made from the same red fabric pictured and the petals will be 4/5 different red and blue coloured fabrics. The path is white with tiny pale pink dots. I think I need about 100 flowers to even consider a quilt. 20 down, 80 to go . . . .

Coasters
These were my first attempt at quilting. I made 4 of these as a present for my sister. They were made from 2 different types of red and white fabric (the spotty one came from trousers I had as a child!!). The quilting isn't great but they were easy to make and good to practice on.
The idea came from a book called "Quilting in no time".
