Tonight was the last night of my patchwork class - my quilt is all basted and a little quilted in the middle. We have our monthly "Crafty Sew & Sews" meet next Tuesday so I am going to try and finish the quilting by then.
I haven't bought any fabric in ages (or at least any that wasn't for my class quilt!) I couldn't resist these fat quarters of Tanya Whelan's Dolce collection. In my defence the fabric diet is going well with 14.5 pounds lost in total.
This is the finished quilt top for my class at Millie Moon - unfortunatly winter light means I still haven't got a really good photo that shows the colours well. At first I thought the colours were too bright for me but now I really like it. I love the way the green frames the centre and can anyone guess I love Amy Butler?
I finished the binding on this tiny doll quilt for my neice. I used the scraps from my Secret Garden Quilt and practice sewing squares so my seams matched and I also tried out my new walking foot for the first time. the back is pink and white polka dot and I love it almost as much as the front!
